We’re gearing up to enter the final quarter of the year, (where has this year gone????).
This is the time when you need to be putting in high-performance efforts to maximize your yearly numbers.
The end of the year can provide just the urgency you need to push your business to the next level or meet projections that have fallen short.
So now is the time to start preparing your business for the final quarter of the year.
Sprint Goals
Hopefully, you’re close to reaching the goals you set at the beginning of the year. But, alongside those goals, you can end 2022 with specific sprint goals to the final quarter. This end-of-year goal(s) will be the sprint to end your marathon.
Of course, the best-case scenario is if you’ve already reached your annual goal and you want to add an additional one to exceed all of your expectations for the year. For example, you might have set a goal for the year to reach one million dollars in revenue. If you reach that goal in November, you still have a month left in the year to create a sprint goal and crush it even further.
If your year-end goal seems too far out of reach, use this time to set a new sprint goal that’s attainable by year end. Then, even if you fell short of the mark you hoped to reach at the beginning of 2022, you’ll be able to conclude the year with a win.
Incentives
If you have employees working for you, now is the perfect time to provide them with incentives. Find a way to incentivize them so their work ethic continues to run strong.
This is another chance for you to leverage the holidays in your favor. Holiday bonuses and time off for the holidays will perk workers up instantly. Attach incentives with goals that can be measured. This way, employees know just how hard they need to work to receive their promised rewards.
Reviewing 2022
Even though we’re only three-quarters of the way through the year, there’s so much you can analyze and learn from by reviewing the past nine months. This final quarter is the perfect time to look back on how your business has progressed since January and use that knowledge to start making preparations for 2023.
You need to look at your quarterly revenue and gross profit numbers. Did you meet or exceed expectations to date? What needs to be improved or changed moving forward?
Investing in digital marketing is a must these days, so you need to really understand how it is benefiting your business, how many new client/customers it is bringing in for you and the cost of getting each client/customer. If it is not meeting your expectations, then a audit needs to be done to see how it can be improved and if different channels need to be used to reach your ideal customers.
The time you spend reviewing 2022 will set the stage for a more successful future.
I am currently working on creating a 2023 goal setting planner that will help make it easier for you set and achieve your goals.
I will share it with all of you as soon as it is completed.
