You are “One-Of-A-Kind!” What makes you unique or stand out, in your own opinion? What distinguishes you from other people working in your industry or providing the products/services that you offer? Is it the way you do things, perhaps? Or the way you view a particular problem or situation? Everyone has something that they do better or differently than others in their industry. You can’t just be generic. You have to be specific. Why? Because whatever sets you apart is your Unique Selling Proposition.
If you want to succeed in business, you need to find and market your “secret sauce.” It is that one thing that makes you better or different from the competition. It is what will make people want to do business with you instead of someone else. Don’t just say, “I work hard and care about my clients.” Of course you do, and that’s fantastic, but how do you put your effort to good use?
How can you go above and beyond the call of duty in order to better serve your clients? How do you perform your tasks in a different way? What is your secret sauce that most other businesses don’t have, and why does it benefit those who buy from you? Your secret sauce could be anything from your amazing customer service skills to the way you source your materials. It could be a combination of factors that make you unique. Whatever it is, make sure you let your potential clients and customers know what makes you different and why they should choose you over the competition.
It’s not simple to figure out what makes us distinct, but it’s not impossible. If you can figure that out, you’re on the road to success. You’re doing better than most if you can also explain it to your ideal consumers or clients.
“You have what others don’t have. This is good news which means you can do what others can’t do! You are unique; so are others!”

Your uniqueness is your strength. Use it to your advantage! What distinguishes you from other people working in your industry or providing the products/services that you offer?
Is it the way you do things, perhaps? Or the way you view a particular problem or situation?
While you can accomplish much of what other people do, you are “One-Of-A-Kind” to your ideal customers/clients, which is why they will buy from you rather than another person. The sooner you figure out and capitalize on your distinct selling points, the more of your ideal customers you’ll attract since you’ll know exactly what they’re searching for and why no one else can provide it to them.
From there, it is up to you to exceed their expectations at every turn. But that is the easy part. The most difficult aspect is to get them to pay attention to you.
So, spend some time considering what makes you – you. Think about it. Write it down. Celebrate it.
By finding your secret sauce and embracing your uniqueness, you’ll be able to better connect with your target audience and stand out from the rest.
As Dr. Suess said, “In a world where you can be anyone, be yourself.”
My advice to you is: Be Real. Be You. Be Unique. It’s that simple.
